In 1992, the WKO was formed by Italy’s Dr. Ennio Falsoni. After five World Championships were held in Italy, Argentina, Canada, USA and England, Dr. Falsoni felt his efforts were being pulled in two directions because he was also the head of WAKO. He chose to put his efforts into WAKO, and the WKO was somewhat disbanded, but the spirit of the championships has never been forgotten.
The WKO has been an excellent organization for bringing countries together.
The WKO will continue to celebrate the Martial Arts in the true spirit of friendship. | more
With the revival of the World Karate Organization, we are hoping to see the return of the countries who have been involved in the past. We also hope to welcome many new countries into this organization.
